Dialects Character

Developed by Joe, the Dialect characters are simplified three-dimensional likenesses of the team. Reduced to their essentials, each figure is shaped around a small personal detail or signature prop. Subtle cues that hint at personality without spelling it out.

The restraint is intentional. By stripping back surface detail, the focus shifts to posture, and proportion. Each character sits somewhere between portrait and symbol. Familiar, but not literal.

Technically, the characters are fully rigged and engineered to respond to the user in real time. Their gaze tracks the movement of the cursor, creating a quiet sense of awareness. A moment of connection that feels playful, but also oddly human.

What began as an internal experiment became a study in how little is needed to convey presence. How minimal form, when paired with behaviour, can still feel rich, alive, and personal.

Positioned in the website footer, they animate with just enough responsiveness to feel alive, transforming a typically overlooked space into a playful, character driven moment of interaction.
