Created for the newly launched GATE ZERO retail space in Frankfurt, this series of visuals were designed to define the atmosphere of the store and reinforce its bold position within streetwear and travel retail.
Drawing on the aerodynamic beauty of aircraft design, we transformed familiar aviation references into a more futuristic and abstract visual world. Extreme close-ups of aircraft bodywork, sculptural surfaces and refined metallic details were elevated through low, dramatic lighting and slow, atmospheric motion.
Focusing on texture, reflection, shadow and scale, the work established a premium visual language that felt immersive, unexpected and sensory. The final screen moments brought depth and energy to the environment, enhancing the customer experience as they moved through the space.
We took the time to explore how the form and materiality of aircraft could be reimagined for a high-end retail setting. We developed and tested a range of plane body shapes, surface treatments, colours and finishes, looking at how each detail responded to light, movement and camera proximity.
From sleek metallic panels and dark reflective surfaces to more experimental silhouettes and laser like lighting passes, the process allowed us to find the right balance between aviation, luxury and futurism. This exploration shaped the final creative direction, ensuring the visuals felt both grounded in the language of flight and elevated into something more cinematic, atmospheric and distinctive.
