A milestone moment for Google as they introduced their next evolution in phone technology, the Pixel Fold.
Working in partnership with Anomaly, we created an anamorphic installation that captured attention while still honouring the detail, craft and clarity of the product itself.
We developed two scenes that focused on simple, everyday moments, each designed to show how the Fold’s expanded screen transforms the act of capturing the world. The larger canvas allowed each scene to break beyond the frame, immersing viewers and giving them a true sense of what makes the Fold so striking.
A playful symbol of the Fold’s flexibility
One of the hero moments in the launch featured a chameleon character created to embody both the richness of the Fold’s display and the adaptability of the device itself.
As the phone opens, the chameleon emerges from the screen with a fluid, playful movement that reflects how naturally the Fold shifts between modes. We built the character with a high level of detail, from the subtle shifts in colour to the texture of its skin and the way light moves across its body.
Every element was crafted to showcase the depth and clarity of the Fold’s screen while giving viewers a character that felt alive and full of personality.
Faithful echo
We worked closely with Google’s product design team to ensure the Pixel Fold was recreated with absolute fidelity. Every texture, edge and shift of light was shaped with the same care they poured into the real device. The result is a digital model that doesn’t just look accurate, but feels true to the intent and precision behind the original.
