At Dialect, we don’t just build tools; we choreograph moments. Our AI-powered photo booth isn’t just tech, it’s a glimpse into how we rapidly turn emerging technology into immersive, creative experiences.
As part of some internal R&D, we brought it to life through a Halloween-themed cinematic experience, a quick-turnaround, creative-first tech demo that captures the kind of work we thrive on.
Working on any screen, no camera or high powered PC, users simply scan a QR code, select their favourite style, take a selfie on their phone and the results are delivered on both screens inside 60 seconds. All the heavy lifting is handled on our AI cloud solution. It allows us to minimise the on-site hardware requirement and decrease the wait times.
Prototyping with Purpose
With each R&D sprint in the studio, we balance creative, technical, and commercial thinking. We quickly ideated, prototyped, and deployed an AI-driven experience that let users step into a retro Netflix-like world.
The result? A proof of concept that not only entertained, but also showed how we can quickly rationalise new technology into memorable brand activations.

For this 80s-inspired activation, we designed a teak-lined CRT surround for the central screen and paired it with a series of repurposed vintage monitors to build out a world that felt familiar, nostalgic, cinematic, and slightly unsettling, just the right tone for a Halloween takeover.
